Gabriel Lakey is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, director, and writer devoted to capturing human-centered stories that delve deep into the realms of conviction, curiosity, and the pursuit of truth. His work shines a light on individuals facing pivotal moments, as they navigate the complexities of life in search of understanding and significance. Gabriel’s documentaries offer viewers an intimate view of humanity’s diverse experiences, fostering connection and empathy. This website not only showcases his portfolio, but also serves as a hub for potential clients and collaborators who wish to explore the powerful impact of storytelling through film.

He directed Pigweed Philosopher, which won Best Foreign Documentary at the London Independent Film Festival. Lakey later wrote the documentary The Truth About RFK Jr, now streaming on Angel Studios.

He has also directed several biographical documentaries for the project A Year of Transformation, profiling individuals whose lives reflect personal change and conviction. Subjects include Martha McSally—the first American woman to fly in combat and command a fighter squadron—former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, and Baron Baptiste, a pioneer of modern power yoga.

Lakey is also the writer of the upcoming documentary Toxic Nation: From Fluoride to Seed Oils — How We Got Here, Who Profits, and What You Can Do.
